The Prophet ﷺ passed away while his armor was pawned with a Jewish man for thirty saa of barley, which he had taken as provision for his family.
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا هشام عن عكرمة
قبض النبي ﷺ ودرعه مرهونة عند رجل من يهود على ثلاثين صاعا من شعير أخذها رزقا لعياله
Its isnad is sahih. Its meaning will come at length through another route from Ibn Abbas, 2724, and its meaning is also established in the Sahihayn and other than them from the hadith of Ayesha. See the History of Ibn Kathir, 5:282-284. He mentioned in al-Muntaqa, 2974, the hadith of Ayesha, then said, "Ahmad, Nasai, and Ibn Majah have something similar from the hadith of Ibn Abbas."
