Khabab bin Arat reported,

I was a blacksmith, and Aas bin Waail owed me a debt. So I went to him to collect it, and he said, "No, by Allah, I will not pay you until you disbelieve in Muhammad."I said, "By Allah, I will not disbelieve in Muhammad ﷺ until you die and then are raised up again."He said, "Then when I have died and been raised up, come to me. I will have wealth and children there, and I will pay you."So Allah revealed, "Have you seen the one who disbelieved in Our signs and said, 'I shall surely be given wealth and children'" up to His words "and he will come to Us alone" [Maryam 19:77–80].

حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن مسلم عن مسروق

عن خباب بن الأرت قال

كنت رجلا قينا وكان لي على العاص بن وائل دين فأتيته أتقاضاه فقال لا والله لا أقضيك حتى تكفر بمحمد فقلت والله لا أكفر بمحمد ﷺ حتى تموت ثم تبعث قال فإني إذا مت ثم بعثت جئتني ولي ثم مال وولد فأعطيتك فأنزل الله تبارك وتعالى {أفرأيت الذي كفر بآياتنا وقال لأوتين مالا وولدا} إلى قوله عز وجل {ويأتينا فردا}
