The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in the noon and afternoon prayers surahs like "By the night when it covers" [Layl 92:1] and the like, and in the dawn prayer he would recite something longer than that.

كان النبي ﷺ يقرأ في الظهر والعصر بالليل إذا يغشى ونحو ذلك وفي الصبح أطول من ذلك
