Jabir bin Samura reported,

The muezzin of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would give the call to prayer, then wait. When he saw the Prophet of Allah ﷺ come out, he would call the iqamah at the moment he saw him.

حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا إسرائيل عن سماك أنه سمع

جابر بن سمرة يقول

كان مؤذن رسول الله ﷺ يؤذن ثم يمهل حتى إذا رأى نبي الله ﷺ قد خرج أقام الصلاة حين يراه
