The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the prayers much as you pray them today, except that he kept them light. His prayer was lighter than yours. In Fajr he would recite Waqiah and surahs like it.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا إسرائيل ويحيى بن آدم حدثنا إسرائيل عن سماك بن حرب أنه
ان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي الصلوات كنحو من صلاتكم التي تصلون اليوم ولكنه كان يخفف كانت صلاته أخف من صلاتكم وكان يقرأ في الفجر الواقعة ونحوها من السور
