Jabir bin Samura reported,

Maez bin Malik came to the Prophet ﷺ and confessed to him that he had committed adultery. The Prophet turned his face away from him. He came again and confessed several times, so the Prophet ordered that he be stoned, and he was stoned.Then the Prophet was informed about him, so he stood up, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, "What is the matter with Some men, that whenever we set out to fight in the cause of Allah , one of them stays behind among their women, bleating like a male goat in heat, offering one of them a small gift of milk? By Allah, if Allah gives me power over any of them, I will surely make an example of them."

عن جابر بن سمرة قال

جاء ماعز بن مالك إلى النبي ﷺ فاعترف عنده بالزنا قال فحول وجهه قال فجاء فاعترف مرارا فأمر برجمه فرجم ثم أتي فأخبر فقام فحمد الله تعالى وأثنى عليه ثم قال ما بال رجال كلما نفرنا في سبيل الله تبارك وتعالى تخلف عندهن أحدهم له نبيب كنبيب التيس يمنح إحداهن الكثبة لئن أمكنني الله عز وجل منهم لأجعلنهم نكالا
