We do not know whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Zuhr and Asr, but we recite.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن سلمة عن الحسن يعني العرني قال
ما ندر أكان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ في الظهر والعصر ولكنا نقرأ
Its isnad is daif due to a break in transmission. Hasan Arni did not hear from Ibn Abbas, as explained in detail previously in 2082. See also 1887 and 2246.
