A man died during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Someone came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has died."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "He has not died."The man came to him a second time, then a third, informing him of the death. The Prophet ﷺ then asked him, "How did he die?"He answered, "He stabbed himself with a broad arrowhead."So the Prophet ﷺ did not perform the funeral prayer over him.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنا إسرائيل عن سماك أنه سمع
مات رجل على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فأتاه رجل فقال يا رسول الله مات فلان قال لم يمت ثم أتاه الثانية ثم الثالثة فأخبره فقال له النبي ﷺ كيف مات قال نحر نفسه بمشقص قال فلم يصل عليه
