I said to Jabir bin Samura, "Did you used to sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes. He was long in silence and rarely laughed. His companions would mention poetry and matters from their affairs in his presence and they would laugh, and at times he would smile."

قلت لجابر بن سمرة أكنت تجالس رسول الله ﷺ قال نعم فكان طويل الصمت قليل الضحك وكان أصحابه يذكرون عنده الشعر وأشياء من أمورهم فيضحكون وربما تبسم
Its isnad is hasan, and it is found in Tirmidhi 5/140, no. 2850, in the chapter on manners, what has been said regarding reciting poetry, and he said, "Hasan sahih."
