We washed the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he instructed us to wash her with lote-tree leaves three times, and if she was not yet clean, then five, and if she was still not clean, then more than that.She said, "We understood that 'more than that' meant seven."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا همام عن قتادة قال أخذ ابن سيرين غسله
غسلنا ابنة رسول الله ﷺ فأمرنا أن نغسلها بالسدر ثلاثا فإن أنجت وإلا فخمسا فإن أنجت وإلا فأكثر من ذلك قالت فرأينا أن أكثر من ذلك سبع
