He had seen the Prophet ﷺ, and he reported that whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled, he would say, "O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Guardian of the family. O Allah, accompany us on our journey and watch over our family in our absence. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, from a sorrowful return, from decline after growth, from the supplication of the wronged, and from finding distress in family and property upon return."Asim was asked about the meaning of "decline after growth," and he said, "It means to fall back after having advanced."
