We were in Persia, and our commander was a man named Zuhayr bin Abdullah. He said, A man told me that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever spends the night on the roof of a building or atop a house that has nothing around it to keep him from falling off, the covenant of protection has been removed from him. And whoever sets out by sea after it has become turbulent, the covenant of protection has been removed from him."

كنا بفارس وعلينا أمير يقال له زهير بن عبد الله فقال حدثني رجل أن نبي الله ﷺ قال من بات فوق إجار أو فوق بيت ليس حوله شيء يرد رجله فقد برئت منه الذمة ومن ركب البحر بعد ما يرتج فقد برئت منه الذمة
