Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ibn Sulayman Ibn Ghasil is Abdul-Rahman bin Sulayman bin Abdullah bin Hanzala Ansari, named after his great-grandfather Hanzala bin Abu Amir, "the one washed by the angels" on the day of Uhud, because he was martyred in a state of ritual impurity. This Abdul-Rahman is trustworthy, both Bukhari and Muslim included his narrations, and he is counted among the Successors, because he saw Anas bin Malik and Sahl bin Saad. He died in the year 175, having lived past 100 years.Al-isabah means the turban. Al-dasimah means black, and dusmah, with a damma on the dal and a sukun on the sin, means blackness, or a dust color tending toward black. This hadith is a shortened version of number 2629, but there is no mention of a black turban in it, which shows that it is a shortened version drawn from the three narrations of Bukhari.
