While I was shooting my arrows during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, by Allah, the sun was eclipsed. I dropped the arrows and hurried off, saying, "I must see what has happened to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during this solar eclipse." There he was, with his hands raised, glorifying Allah , praising Him, declaring His oneness, magnifying Him, and supplicating. He continued doing so until the eclipse was lifted from the sun. Then he recited two surahs and prayed two units of prayer.
