He heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ say, "If you were to rely upon Allah with true reliance, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds. They set out in the morning with empty bellies and return in the evening with full ones."
حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن حدثنا حيوة أخبرني بكر بن عمرو أنه سمع عبد الله بن هبيرة يقول إنه سمع أبا تميم الجيشاني يقول سمع
إنه سمع نبي الله ﷺ يقول لو أنكم تتوكلون على الله حق توكله لرزقكم كما يرزق الطير تغدو خماصا وتروح بطانا
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Abdul-Rahman is Abdullah bin Yazid Muqri. Haywa is Ibn Shurayh. Bakr bin Amr is Maafiri Misri. Abu Tamim Jayshani is Abdullah bin Malik bin Abu Ashamm Ruayni, whose origin was from Yemen, who migrated during the time of Umar, witnessed the conquest of Egypt, and died in early times.
