Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you send your dog and it eats from the prey, do not eat, for it has caught it for itself. But when you send it and it kills without eating, then eat, for it has caught it for its master."Abdullah said, "In my father's book, on the authority of Ibrahim, it stated, 'I heard Ibn Abbas,' but my father struck that out." This is what Asbat said.

عن ابن عباس قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا أرسلت الكلب فأكل من الصيد فلا تأكل فإنما أمسك على نفسه وإذا أرسلته فقتل ولم يأكل فكل فإنما أمسك على صاحبه قال عبد الله وكان في كتاب أبي عن إبراهيم قال سمعت ابن عباس فضرب عليه أبي كذا قال أسباط
