Abu Bakra reported,

The Prophet ﷺ was speaking to us one day with Hasan bin Ali on his lap. He would turn to his companions and speak to them, then turn to Hasan and kiss him. Then he said, "This son of mine is a leader. If he lives, he will reconcile two great factions of the Muslims."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر أخبرني من سمع الحسن يحدث

عن أبي بكرة قال

كان النبي ﷺ يحدثنا يوما والحسن بن علي في حجره فيقبل على أصحابه فيحدثهم ثم يقبل على الحسن فيقبله ثم قال إن ابني هذا لسيد إن يعش يصلح بين طائفتين من المسلمين
