Abu Bakra reported,

Abdullah said, someone other than my father reported from Yahya in this hadith, which I prefer in my own view, from Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman, that the Prophet ﷺ addressed the people at Mina and said, "Do you know what day this is?"We replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He fell silent until we thought he would give it a different name. Then he said, "Is it not the Day of Sacrifice?"We said, "Yes."He asked, "What land is this?"We replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "Is it not the Sacred Town?"We said, "Yes indeed, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Your blood, your property, your honor, and your skin are sacred to one another, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. Have I conveyed the message?"We said, "Yes."He said, "O Allah, bear witness. Let the one present convey to the one absent, for many a person to whom a message is conveyed grasps it better than the one who heard it directly." And so it turned out.He also said, "Do not revert after me to disbelievers, striking one another's necks."When the day came that Ibn Hadrami was burned, Jariya bin Qudama set him on fire. He said, "Look out for Abu Bakra."They said, "This is Abu Bakra."Abdul-Rahman said, my mother told me that Abu Bakra said, "Even if they had entered upon me, I would not have lifted so much as a reed against them."

عن أبي بكرة قال

عبد الله قال غير أبي عن يحيى في هذا الحديث أفضل في نفسي حميد بن عبد الرحمن أن النبي ﷺ خطب الناس بمنى فقال ألا تدرون أي يوم هذا قلنا الله ورسوله أعلم قال فسكت حتى ظننا أنه سيسميه بغير اسمه فقال أليس بيوم النحر قلنا نعم قال أي بلد هذا قلنا الله ورسوله أعلم قال أليس بالبلدة قلنا بلى يا رسول الله قال فإن دماءكم وأموالكم وأعراضكم وأبشاركم حرام كحرمة يومكم هذا في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا ألا هل بلغت قلنا نعم قال اللهم اشهد ليبلغ الشاهد الغائب فإنه رب مبلغ يبلغه من هو أوعى له منه فكان كذلك وقال لا ترجعوا بعدي كفارا يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض فلما كان يوم حرق ابن الحضرمي حرقه جارية بن قدامة قال أشرفوا على أبي بكرة فقالوا هذا أبو بكرة فقال عبد الرحمن فحدثتني أمي أن أبا بكرة قال لو دخلوا علي ما بهشت إليهم بقصبة
