Mura Bahzi reported,

While we were with the Prophet of Allah ﷺ on one of the roads of Medina, he said, "How will you act during a tribulation that will erupt across the regions of the earth, rising like the horns of cattle?"They asked, "What shall we do then, Prophet of Allah?"He said, "Hold fast to this man and his companions," or, "Follow this man and his companions."I hurried forward until I was exhausted and caught up with the man. I said, "Is it this one, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "This one." And there he was, Uthman bin Affan . The Prophet said, "This man and his companions," and he mentioned it.

حدثنا أبو أسامة حماد بن أسامة أخبرنا كهمس عن عبد الله بن شقيق حدثني هرمي بن الحارث وأسامة بن خريم وكانا يغازيان فحدثاني حديثا ولم يشعر كل واحد منهما أن صاحبه حدثنيه

عن مرة البهزي قال

بينما نحن مع نبي الله ﷺ في طريق من طرق المدينة فقال كيف تصنعون في فتنة تثور في أقطار الأرض كأنها صياصي بقر قالوا نصنع ماذا يا نبي الله قال عليكم هذا وأصحابه أو اتبعوا هذا وأصحابه قال فأسرعت حتى عييت فلحقت الرجل فقلت هذا يا رسول الله قال هذا فإذا هو عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه فقال هذا وأصحابه وذكره
