Mihjan bin Adra reported that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ sent him on an errand. Then the Prophet met him as he was coming out from one of the roads of Madinah, so he went along with him until they climbed Mount Uhud. The Prophet looked toward Madinah and said, "Woe to its mother, a town that its people will abandon one day when it is at its ripest."Yazid said, "When it is at its ripest."Mihjan said, "I asked, 'Prophet of Allah, who will eat its fruits then?'"The Prophet replied, "The birds of the air and the wild beasts. The Dajjal will not enter it. Every time he tries to enter, an angel with a drawn sword will meet him at each of its mountain passes."Then we came back, and when we reached the door of the mosque, there was a man praying.The Prophet asked, "Do you consider him sincere?"Mihjan said, "I replied, 'Prophet of Allah, this is so-and-so, and he is among the finest people of Madinah,'" or he said, "'one of the people of Madinah who prays the most.'"The Prophet said, "Do not let him hear you, or you will destroy him," repeating it two or three times. "You are a community for whom ease is intended."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا كهمس ويزيد قال أخبرنا كهمس قال سمعت
محجن بن الأدرع بعثني نبي الله ﷺ في حاجة ثم عرض لي وأنا خارج من طريق من طرق المدينة قال فانطلقت معه حتى صعدنا أحدا فأقبل على المدينة فقال ويل أمها قرية يوم يدعها أهلها قال يزيد كأينع ما تكون قال قلت يا نبي الله من يأكل ثمرتها قال عافية الطير والسباع قال ولا يدخلها الدجال كلما أراد أن يدخلها تلقاه بكل نقب منها ملك مصلتا قال ثم أقبلنا حتى إذا كنا بباب المسجد قال إذا رجل يصلي قال أتقوله صادقا قال قلت يا نبي الله هذا فلان وهذا من أحسن أهل المدينة أو قال أكثر أهل المدينة صلاة قال لا تسمعه فتهلكه مرتين أو ثلاثا إنكم أمة أريد بكم اليسر
