An elderly man from the tribe of Banu Aqeel named Abdul Majid al-Aqeeli narrated to us, saying:We set out as pilgrims during the nights when Yazid bin al-Muhallab had gone out in revolt. We had been told of a watering place in al-Aliyah called al-Zujayj. When we completed our pilgrimage rites, we came to al-Zujayj and made our mounts kneel. Then we set off until we reached a well around which sat some elderly men with hennaed beards, conversing among themselves. We said, "This man who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, where is his house?"They replied, "Yes, he was his companion, and that there is his house."So we went on until we reached the house and gave the greeting of peace. He gave us permission to enter, and there he was, an elderly man lying down, called Adda bin Khalid al-Kilabi.I asked, "Are you the one who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He said, "Yes, and were it not night, I would have read to you the letter the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to me. Who are you?"We replied, "We are from the people of Basra."He said, "Welcome to you. What has Yazid bin al-Muhallab done?"We said, "He is over there calling people to the Book of Allah and to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ."He said, "He is far from that, he is far from that."I asked, "Whom should we follow, these or those?" meaning the people of Sham or Yazid. He said, "If you sit out, you will prosper and be rightly guided. If you sit out, you will prosper and be rightly guided." I believe he said it three times. Then he said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Arafah, standing in his stirrups, calling out at the top of his voice, 'People, what day is this of yours?'They replied, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'He said, 'What month is this of yours?'They replied, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'He said, 'What land is this of yours?'They replied, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.'He said, 'Your day is a sacred day, your month is a sacred month, and your land is a sacred land.'Then he said, 'Indeed, your blood and your property are sacred to one another, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this month of yours, in this land of yours, until the day you meet your Lord
and He questions you about your deeds.'Then he raised his hands to the sky and said, 'O Allah, bear witness against them. O Allah, bear witness against them,' repeating it several times, though I do not know how many."

Its isnad is sahih. As for Umar bin Ibrahim Yashkuri, Ibn Hajar favored the view that he is Abdi, whose hadith is deemed reliable and appears in the Sunan works. The hadith itself is the hadith of the Farewell Pilgrimage, which has been repeated many times and is found in the Sahih collections.
