Hasan Basri reported,

Maqil bin Yasar fell ill, and Abdullah bin Ziyad came to visit him. Maqil said, "I am going to tell you a hadith that I have never told you before. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say," or "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no servant whom Allah places in charge of a flock and who dies on the day he dies while being deceitful toward them, except that Allah forbids Paradise to him.'"

أن معقل بن يسار اشتكى فدخل عليه عبد الله بن زياد يعني يعوده فقال أما إني سأحدثك حديثا لم أكن حدثتك به إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ أو إن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يسترعي الله تبارك وتعالى عبدا رعية فيموت يوم يموت وهو لها غاش إلا حرم الله عليه الجنة
