Its isnad is sahih. Sawad bin Abu Aswad, that is, Muslim bin Mikhraq al-Qattan, is trustworthy, as is his father, and their hadith is found in Muslim.The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 13/127, no. 7151, Fath, in the Book of Rulings, chapter on whoever is placed in charge of a flock, and by Muslim 1/125, no. 142, in the Book of Faith, chapter on the ruler who deceives his flock deserving the Fire, and by Darimi 2/324, in the Book of Raqaiq, chapter on justice among the flock.
