Samura bin Jundab reported,

A bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon, interrupting him in the middle of it.He said, "Messenger of Allah, what do you say about lizards?"He replied, "A nation from the Children of Israil was transformed, and Allah knows best into which creatures they were transformed."

عن سمرة بن جندب قال

سأل أعرابي رسول الله ﷺ وهو يخطب فقطع عليه خطبته فقال يا رسول الله ما تقول في الضباب فقال مسخت أمة من بني إسرائيل فالله تبارك وتعالى أعلم في أي الدواب مسخت
