I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he summoned a cupper and instructed him to perform cupping on him. The cupper brought out his cupping vessels made of horn and applied them to him, then made an incision with the edge of a blade and poured the blood into a container beside him.A man from the tribe of Banu Fazarah came in and asked, "What is this, Messenger of Allah? Why are you allowing this man to do this to your skin and cut it?"I heard the Prophet ﷺ reply, "This is cupping."The man asked, "And what is cupping?"He answered, "It is among the best remedies people use for treatment."
حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير قال زهير بن معاوية حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمير حدثني حصين بن أبي الحر
كنت عند رسول الله ﷺ فدعا حجاما فأمره أن يحجمه فأخرج محاجم له من قرون فألزمه إياه فشرطه بطرف شفرة فصب الدم في إناء عنده فدخل عليه رجل من بني فزارة فقال ما هذا يا رسول الله علام تمكن هذا من جلدك يقطعه قال فسمعت النبي ﷺ يقول هذا الحجم قال وما الحجم قال هو من خير ما تداوى به الناس
