The Prophet ﷺ sent two sacrificial camels with a man and said, "If anything happens to them on the way, slaughter them, dip their sandals in their blood, and strike their flanks with it so that people will know they are sacrificial camels."He explained, "The flanks of each one."He continued, "Do not eat from them yourself, nor should any of your companions, but leave them for those who come after you."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني عبد الكريم بن أبي المخارق عن معاذ بن سعوة الراسبي عن سنان بن سلمة الهذلي
عن النبي ﷺ أنه بعث بدنتين مع رجل وقال إن عرض لهما فانحرهما واغمس النعل في دمائهما ثم اضرب به صفحتيهما حتى يعلم أنهما بدنتان قال صفحتي كل واحدة قال ولا تأكل منها أنت ولا أحد من رفقتك ودعها لمن بعدكم
