I asked, "Messenger of Allah, our wives, what may we approach of them and what must we leave?"He replied, "Your wife is your tilth. Come to your tilth as you wish, provided that you do not strike the face, do not utter abuse, feed her when you feed yourself, clothe her when you clothe yourself, and do not abandon her except within the house. How could it be otherwise, when each of you has been intimate with the other, except in matters where punishment is lawfully due upon them?"

قلت يا رسول الله نساؤنا ما نأتي منهن وما نذر قال حرثك ائت حرثك أنى شئت في أن لا تضرب الوجه ولا تقبح وأطعم إذا أطعمت واكس إذا اكتسيت ولا تهجر إلا في البيت كيف وقد أفضى بعضكم إلى بعض إلا بما حل عليهن
