I asked, "Prophet of Allah, regarding our wives, what may we do with them and what should we leave?"He replied, "She is your tilth, so come to your tilth as you wish, but do not strike the face, do not insult her, and do not abandon her except within the house. Feed her when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself. How could it be otherwise, when you have been intimate with one another, except for what is rightfully due upon her?"
