The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Modesty is entirely good."Bashir said, "I replied, 'But some of it is weakness, and some of it is incapacity.'"He said, "I am narrating to you from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and you bring me objections? I will not narrate a single hadith to you as long as I know you."The people said, "Abu Najid, he is of pleasant disposition, and he is such and such," and they kept pressing him until he calmed down and resumed narrating.

قال رسول الله ﷺ الحياء خير كله فقال بشير فقلت إن منه ضعفا وإن منه عجزا فقال أحدثك عن رسول الله ﷺ وتجيئني بالمعاريض لا أحدثك بحديث ما عرفتك فقالوا يا أبا نجيد إنه طيب الهوى وإنه وإنه فلم يزالوا به حتى سكن وحدث
