Imran bin Husayn reported,

It was reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Modesty is entirely good."Bashir bin Kaab remarked, "Some of it is weakness."Imran became angry and said, "I am telling you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Modesty is entirely good,' and you say, 'Some of it is weakness'?"He kept his distance from him and refused to narrate to him, until he was told that Bashir was indeed as he wished him to be.

حدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال الحياء خير كله قال بشير بن كعب إن منه ضعفا فغضب عمران فقال لا أراني أحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ قال الحياء خير كله وتقول إن منه ضعفا قال فجفاه وأراد أن لا يحدثه فقيل له إنه كما تحب
