The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of you are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them." I am not sure whether he said this twice or three times. "Then there will come after you a people who make vows but do not fulfill them, who betray and cannot be trusted, who give testimony without being asked to testify, and among whom obesity will spread."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن شعبة حدثني أبو جمرة حدثني زهدم بن مضرب قال سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ خيركم قرني ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم لا أدري مرتين أو ثلاثة ثم يأتي أو يجيء بعدكم قوم ينذرون فلا يوفون ويخونون ولا يؤتمنون ويشهدون ولا يستشهدون ويفشو فيهم السمن
