Imran bin Husayn and I prayed in Kufa behind Ali bin Abu Talib. He pronounced the takbir for us with every movement, when he bowed and when he prostrated, saying it for each one.When we finished, Imran said to me, "I have not prayed for some time," or he said, "for such and such a time," "a prayer more resembling the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than this one," meaning the prayer of Ali, may Allah be pleased with him.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن قتادة وغير واحد
صليت أنا وعمران بن حصين بالكوفة خلف علي بن أبي طالب فكبر بنا هذا التكبير حين يركع وحين يسجد فكبره كله فلما انصرفنا قال لي عمران ما صليت منذ حين أو قال منذ كذا وكذا أشبه بصلاة رسول الله ﷺ من هذه الصلاة يعني صلاة علي رضي الله تعالى عنه
