Mutarrif reported,

Imran bin Husayn said, "We performed tamattu pilgrimage with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Quran was revealed concerning it." Affan's version says, "And the Quran was revealed about it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died without forbidding it, and nothing abrogated it. A man simply spoke according to his own opinion as he wished."

قال عمران بن حصين تمتعنا مع رسول الله ﷺ وأنزل فيها القرآن قال عفان ونزل فيه القرآن فمات رسول الله ﷺ ولم ينه عنها ولم ينسخها شيء قال رجل برأيه ما شاء
