The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a messenger to one of the Arab tribes concerning some matter that Mahdi did not know. They insulted him and beat him, so he complained about that to the Prophet ﷺ.The Prophet ﷺ said, "Had you come to the people of Oman, they would not have insulted you nor beaten you."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا مهدي بن ميمون حدثنا أبو الوازع رجل من بني راسب قال سمعت
بعث رسول الله ﷺ رسولا إلى حي من أحياء العرب في شيء لا يدري مهدي ما هو قال فسبوه وضربوه فشكا ذلك إلى النبي ﷺ فقال لو أنك أتيت أهل عمان ما سبوك وما ضربوك
