Abu Barza reported,

One day I went out walking, and there was the Prophet ﷺ heading somewhere. I thought he was going to attend to some need, so I began to draw back from him and move out of his way. He saw me and gestured to me, so I came to him. He took my hand, and we walked along together. Then we came upon a man praying, performing many bowings and prostrations. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you think he is showing off?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He let go of my hand, then joined his palms together, clasping them, and began to raise them level with his shoulders and lower them, saying, "Keep to a moderate, balanced way," three times. "For whoever overburdens himself in the religion will be overcome by it."Yazid said in Baghdad, "Burayda al-Aslami." He had earlier said, "from Abu Barza," then returned to "Burayda." Waki and Muhammad bin Bakr both narrated to us, saying, "Burayda al-Aslami."
