The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was a servant who was given commands. By Allah, he conveyed what he was sent with, and he did not single us out with anything to the exclusion of others except for three things. He commanded us to perform ablution thoroughly, not to consume charity, and not to mate a donkey with a horse.Musa said, I met Abdullah bin Hasan and said to him, "Abdullah bin Ubaydullah narrated such-and-such to me."He replied, "Horses were scarce among the Banu Hashim, and he wished for them to multiply among them."

كان رسول الله ﷺ عبدا مأمورا بلغ والله ما أرسل به وما اختصنا دون الناس بشيء ليس ثلاثا أمرنا أن نسبغ الوضوء وأن لا نأكل الصدقة وأن لا ننزي حمارا على فرس قال موسى فلقيت عبد الله بن حسن فقلت إن عبد الله بن عبيد الله حدثني كذا وكذا فقال إن الخيل كانت في بني هاشم قليلة فأحب أن تكثر فيهم
Its isnad is sahih. Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abbas is trustworthy, deemed trustworthy by Abu Zura, Nasai, and Ibn Hibban. In the biography of Musa bin Salim in al-Tahdhib 10:344, it says, "He transmitted with an incomplete chain from Ibn Abbas, and he narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas," but this is a clear error. The correct reading is, "He narrated from Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abbas," as it appears in al-Kabir by Bukhari 4/1/284, and as it appears in al-Tahdhib in the biography of Abdullah bin Ubaydullah 5:306.The hadith was narrated by the compilers of the four Sunan works, as noted in al-Tahdhib and Dhakhair al-Mawarith 2835.
