Abu Minhal reported,

I went with my father to Abu Barza al-Aslami, and my father said to him, "Tell us how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the obligatory prayers."He replied, "He would pray the noon prayer, which you call the first prayer, when the sun had passed its zenith. He would pray the afternoon prayer, after which one of us could return to his dwelling in Madinah while the sun was still bright."The narrator said, "I have forgotten what he said about the sunset prayer."He continued, "He preferred to delay the night prayer, and he disliked sleeping before it or talking after it. He would conclude the dawn prayer when one of us could recognize the person sitting next to him, and he would recite between sixty and a hundred verses in it."

انطلقت مع أبي إلى أبي برزة الأسلمي فقال له أبي حدثنا كيف كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي المكتوبة قال كان يصلي الهجير وهي التي تدعونها الأولى حين تدحض الشمس ويصلي العصر ويرجع أحدنا إلى رحله بالمدينة والشمس حية قال ونسيت ما قال في المغرب وكان يستحب أن يؤخر العشاء وكان يكره النوم قبلها والحديث بعدها وكان ينفتل من صلاة الغداة حين يعرف أحدنا جليسه وكان يقرأ بالستين إلى المائة
