I heard Abu Burda bin Abu Musa say to Yazid bin Abu Kabsha, when the two of them were companions on a journey and Yazid was fasting during the trip, "I heard Abu Musa say many times, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When a Muslim servant falls ill or travels, the same reward is recorded for him as what he used to do when he was resident and healthy."'"Muhammad, meaning Ibn Yazid, said, "Allah records the like of what he used to do when he was resident and healthy."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا العوام ومحمد بن يزيد المعنى قال ثنا العوام قال
سمعت أبا بردة بن أبي موسى وهو يقول ليزيد بن أبي كبشة واصطحبا في سفر فكان يزيد يصوم في السفر فقال له أبو بردة سمعت أبا موسى مرارا يقول سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن العبد المسلم إذا مرض أو سافر كتب له من الأجر كما كان يعمل مقيما صحيحا قال محمد يعني ابن يزيد كتب الله مثل ما كان يعمل مقيما صحيحا
