The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. Rawh reported, "I heard Ghanaym say, 'I heard Abu Musa say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any woman who perfumes herself and then passes by a group of people so that they catch her scent is an adulteress."'"
حدثنا عبد الواحد وروح بن عبادة قالا ثنا ثابت بن عمارة عن غنيم بن قيس
قال رسول الله ﷺ قال روح قال سمعت غنيما قال سمعت أبا موسى يقول قال رسول الله ﷺ أيما امرأة استعطرت ثم مرت على القوم ليجدوا ريحها فهي زانية
Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Thabit bin Umara Hanafi, whom some considered lenient with, though he is accepted, while Ghunaym bin Qays Mazini is among the trustworthy mukhadramin of the Successors. The hadith previously appeared at 19599.
