Mazida bin Jabir reported,

My mother said, "I was in the mosque of Kufa during the caliphate of Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, when Abu Musa Ashari was our governor. I heard him say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the fast of Ashura, so fast it.'"
