The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The gates of Paradise lie beneath the shade of swords."A man of shabby appearance stood up from among the people and asked, "Abu Musa, did you yourself hear the Prophet ﷺ say this?"He replied, "Yes."The man then returned to his companions and said, "I bid you peace." He broke the sheath of his sword, then advanced with his sword toward the enemy and fought with it until he was killed.
حدثنا عفان وعبد الصمد قالا ثنا جعفر المعنى قال عفان في حديثه سمعت أبا عمران الجوني يقول ثنا
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن أبواب الجنة تحت ظلال السيوف قال فقام رجل من القوم رث الهيئة فقال يا أبا موسى أأنت سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول هذا قال نعم قال فرجع إلى أصحابه فقال أقرأ عليكم السلام ثم كسر جفن سيفه ثم مشى بسيفه إلى العدو فضرب به حتى قتل
