Zabib used to be soaked for the Prophet ﷺ, and he would drink it that day, the next day, and the day after that until the evening of the third day. Then he would order that it be given to others to drink or be poured out.
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي عمر
كان ينقع للنبي ﷺ الزبيب قال فيشربه اليوم والغد وبعد الغد إلى مساء الثالثة ثم يؤمر به فيسقى أو يهراق
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Umar is Bahrani, Yahya bin Ubayd, and in K it is written as Abu Amr, which is a mistake. Muslim narrated the hadith 2:131 through Abu Muawiya and Jareer, from Amash, and in Jareer's narration from Amash it is "from Yahya Abu Umar." Abu Dawud also narrated it, as mentioned in al-Muntaqa 4771. See also 2068, 2143, 2606.
