The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The trustworthy treasurer who delivers what he has been ordered to give, in full and complete measure, with a willing heart, handing it over to the one for whom it was intended, is one of the two givers of charity."
حدثنا حماد بن أسامة عن بريد بن عبد الله بن أبي بردة عن جده أبي بردة
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن الخازن الأمين الذي يعطي ما أمر به كاملا موفرا طيبة به نفسه حتى يدفعه إلى الذي أمر له به أحد المتصدقين
Its isnad is sahih. Yazid bin Abdullah bin Abu Burda is trustworthy, and his hadith is found in the collections of all the major compilers.The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 3/115, in the chapter on hiring, hiring a righteous man, and by Muslim, 2/710, in the chapter on zakat, the treasurer's wage. Abu Dawud narrated something similar, 2/315, number 1684, as did Ibn Abu Shayba, 3/216, and Bayhaqi, 4/192.
