During the time of the Prophet ﷺ, a man would speak to his companion about some need during the prayer, until this verse was revealed, "And stand before Allah devoutly obedient" [Baqarah 2:238]. So we were ordered to remain silent.
Its isnad is sahih. Harith bin Shubayl Bajali is trustworthy, his hadith appears in the Sahihayn. Abu Amr Shaybani is Saad bin Iyas, the great trustworthy Follower. Nasai narrated the hadith with this wording in 3/18, number 1219, in the chapter on lapses in prayer, speaking during prayer.
