The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Will you not relieve me of Dhul Khalasah?" It was a temple belonging to Khathaam that had been worshipped in the days of ignorance and was called the Kaaba of Yemen.Jareer said, "So we set out toward it with one hundred and fifty riders. We demolished it, or burned it, until we left it like a mangy camel."Then Jareer sent a messenger to the Prophet ﷺ to give him the good news. When the messenger came to him, he said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, Messenger of Allah, I did not come to you until we had left it like a mangy camel."So the Prophet ﷺ invoked blessings upon Ahmas, upon its horses, and upon its men five times.Jareer said, "I said, 'Messenger of Allah, I am a man who cannot sit firmly on horseback.' So he placed his hand on my face until I felt its coolness, and he said, 'O Allah, make him a guide who is rightly guided.'"
