I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to give him my pledge of allegiance. I said, "Give me your hand, and set whatever conditions you wish upon me, for you know best what the conditions should be."He said, "I take your pledge that you will not associate anything with Allah, that you will establish the prayer, that you will give the zakat, that you will be sincere toward every Muslim, and that you will keep apart from the polytheists."
حدثنا يحيى بن آدم حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن الأعمش عن أبي وائل عن أبي نخيلة
أتيت رسول الله ﷺ أبايعه فقلت هات يدك واشترط علي وأنت أعلم بالشرط فقال أبايعك على أن لا تشرك بالله شيئا وتقيم الصلاة وتؤتي الزكاة وتنصح المسلم وتفارق المشرك
