The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Will you not rid me of Dhul-Khalasah?" It was a house in Khathaam called the Yamani Kaaba.So I set out with one hundred and fifty horsemen from Ahmas, who were skilled riders. I told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I could not sit firmly on a horse, so he struck me on the chest until I could see the marks of his fingers on my chest, and he said, "Allah, make him steady, and make him a guide who is rightly guided."He then went to it, demolished it, and burned it down. He sent a messenger to the Prophet ﷺ with the good news.Jareer's messenger said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I did not come to you until I had left it like a mangy camel."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then invoked blessings upon the horses of Ahmas and their men five times.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن إسماعيل قال حدثني قيس قال قال لي
لي رسول الله ﷺ ألا تريحني من ذي الخلصة وكان بيتا في خثعم يسمى كعبة اليمانية قال فانطلقت في خمسين ومائة فارس من أحمس وكانوا أصحاب خيل فأخبرت رسول الله ﷺ أني لا أثبت على الخيل فضرب في صدري حتى رأيت أثر أصابعه في صدري وقال اللهم ثبته واجعله هاديا مهديا فانطلق إليها فكسرها وحرقها فأرسل إلى النبي ﷺ يبشره فقال رسول جرير لرسول الله ﷺ والذي بعثك بالحق ما جئتك حتى تركتها كأنها جمل أجرب فبارك رسول الله ﷺ على خيل أحمس ورجالها خمس مرات
