The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Will you not relieve me of Dhul-Khalasah?" It was a house in Khathaam called the Kabah of Yemen. So I set out toward it with one hundred and seventy horsemen from Ahmas. He came to it and burned it down with fire, and Jareer sent Bashir as a messenger to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Bashir said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I did not come to you until I had left it looking like a mangy camel."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoked blessings upon the horses and men of Ahmas five times.
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا إسماعيل عن قيس قال قال
لي رسول الله ﷺ ألا تريحني من ذي الخلصة وكان بيتا في خثعم يسمى كعبة اليمانية فنفرت إليه في سبعين ومائة فارس من أحمس قال فأتاها فحرقها بالنار وبعث جرير بشيرا إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال والذي بعثك بالحق ما أتيتك حتى تركتها كأنها جمل أجرب فبرك رسول الله ﷺ على خيل أحمس ورجالها خمس مرات
