Mughira bin Shibl reported,

Jareer said, "When I drew near to Madinah, I made my mount kneel, then opened my saddlebag, put on my fine garment, and entered. There was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon, and the people fixed their eyes upon me."He continued, "I said to the man sitting next to me, 'Abdullah, did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention me?'"The man replied, "Yes, he mentioned you just now in the finest terms."While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering his sermon, he paused in the middle of it and said, "There shall enter upon you through this door, or through this pass, one of the best men of Yemen, with the mark of an angel upon his face."Jareer said, "So I praised Allah for what He had bestowed upon me."Abu Qatan said, "I asked him, 'Did you hear this directly from him, or did you hear it from Mughira bin Shibl?'"He answered, "Yes."

عن المغيرة بن شبل قال

وقال جرير لما دنوت من المدينة أنخت راحلتي ثم حللت عيبتي ثم لبست حلتي ثم دخلت فإذا رسول الله ﷺ يخطب فرماني الناس بالحدق فقلت لجليسي يا عبد الله ذكرني رسول الله ﷺ قال نعم ذكرك آنفا بأحسن ذكر فبينما هو يخطب إذ عرض له في خطبته وقال يدخل عليكم من هذا الباب أو من هذا الفج من خير ذي يمن إلا أن على وجهه مسحة ملك قال جرير فحمدت الله عز وجل على ما أبلاني و قال أبو قطن فقلت له سمعته منه أو سمعته من المغيرة بن شبل قال نعم
