A man came and entered Islam, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was teaching him Islam while traveling. The hoof of his camel slipped into the burrow of a jerboa, causing the camel to throw him, and he died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon him and said, "He worked little and was rewarded much." Hammad said this three times. "The lahd grave is for us, and the shaqq grave is for others."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن الحجاج عن عمرو بن مرة عن زاذان
أن رجلا جاء فدخل في الإسلام فكان رسول الله ﷺ يعلمه الإسلام وهو في مسيره فدخل خف بعيره في جحر يربوع فوقصه بعيره فمات فأتى عليه رسول الله ﷺ فقال عمل قليلا وأجر كثيرا قالها حماد ثلاثا اللحد لنا والشق لغيرنا
